Meghan Markle news: Duchess of Sussex shares her beauty ‘essentials’ on ShopMy page alongside clothes

The Duchess of Sussex has added her favourite beauty products to a page allowing fans to shop her wardrobe because, she says, “you asked”.

Among the “essentials” Meghan uses in her day-to-day routine include a cult Australian product that sells for less than $10.

The addition of the items – which include nail polish, eye shadow, foundation and skin cream – follows the launch of Meghan’s online shop on Monday.

The platform allows the duchess’s social media followers the chance to emulate her style by purchasing the same high-end clothes and accessories she wore either during the filming of With Love, Meghan or at recent events.

Meghan will receive commission on some, but not all, of the products featured.

The newly-added beauty collection promotes products including a MAC eyeliner pencil ($41), CND Shellac nail polish in the shade ‘satin slippers’ ($16.95), Saint Jane Luxury Lip Oil ($44) and RMS Living Luminizer ($66).

Among the pricier items available to buy include the Dewy Skin Cream by Tatcha ($118), a two-piece leather travel case set by Cuyana ($266) and a $440 Tata Harper face mask set.

The curated list also includes the Root Replenish Active Growth Serum ($139), a product owned by Kadi Lee, Meghan’s friend and hairdresser, also known as Highbrow Hippie.

A popular budget Australian beauty product has made Meghan’s list too.

The duchess features Lucas’ Papaw Ointment, with a 15g tube retailing for just $6.80.

The cult beauty buy is described as being a “multi-purpose balm for chapped lips, minor burns, sunburn, cuts, insect bites, and nappy rash”.

It is Australian-made and the Queensland-based company has been in production for more than 100 years.

The poplar ointment is readily available from chemists, supermarkets and department stores.

Meghan shared a link to her updated online shop with a message to her followers on Instagram: “You asked about my nail polish on ‘With Love, Meghan’ – one coat of each, plus a few of my other essentials. Enjoy!”

The duchess is expected to earn a hefty sum from her ShopMy page which is billed on its website as a way to “monetise your influence”.

From Meghan’s Instagram page, her followers click through to a collection of fashion and beauty items described by its owner as “a handpicked and curated collection of the things I love”.

Not all items have commissionable links attached, but most do.

The commission earned through purchases depends on the influencer’s reach and Meghan, with her global profile, likely has top earning power.

On average, brands tend to offer 10 per cent commission but some offer as much as 50 per cent.

Meghan’s new brand As Ever will soon begin selling a range of domestic products including fruit preserves, edible flower sprinkles and homewares.

Meghan’s life on Instagram: all her best posts so far

The duchess is betting on her new business ventures making her extremely wealth, The Telegraph UK reports.

A well-placed source said Meghan “thinks she’s going to be a billionaire” and that the team of executives she has hired can get her there.

Earlier today, the first trailer for Meghan’s new podcast Confessions Of A Female Founder was released.

In the two-minute clip, the duchess says she is “building a business”, adding she’s “diving into the highs – and the lows – and the kind of advice that turns small ideas into billion-dollar businesses”.

“And of course, we’re going to get some girl talk,” Meghan adds.

The clip features snippets from the show’s various unidentified guests who speak about their own successes and struggles.

Meghan promises the podcast won’t be “Shark Tank…think of this as ‘dolphin tank.’ These are very friendly waters, it’s all going to be good”.

The podcast will premier on April 8 on Lemonada Media and it will be Meghan’s first since Archetypes, which she released on Spotify in 2022.

Archetypes, which ran for just one season with 12 episodes, was the only offering to emerge from her and Prince Harry’s $40 million Spotify deal.
