Sydney Royal Easter Show showbags 2025: The $3 Showbag that will beat Bertie Beetle for most affordable

Bertie Beetle has long been the most affordable showbag choice at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, but no more.

A new showbag has taken the crown as the most affordable at the annual event with the Bertie Beetle bag now $5.

It is the Wizz Fizz $3 Chocolate Bag which is sure to prove popular with kids and sugar-lovers alike.

This year showbags range in price from $3 to $40 with 87 of them priced at $10 or less.

Easter Show Operations and Product Development Manager, Shane McGrath, said the wide range of showbags means there is something for everyone.

“Visitors can expect to see their favourite classic showbags, as well as exciting new surprises this year,” McGrath said.

And showbags aren’t only for kids. There are some incredible choices for adults and parents including some for cat and dog lovers, the popular Darrell Lea showbag and cosmetic bags including ModelCo.

McGrath said cost-of-living is top of mind this year.

“We have six or seven licensees that travel around the country. They’re in conventions all around the world trying to bring us the latest and greatest. So we largely leave it in their hands to develop the product, set the price and it’s up to the customer to select,” he said.

McGrath points customers to the Sydney Royal Easter Show website where families can plan out their day and their budgets, and take a look through all the showbags on offer from midday on March 12.

McGrath recommends families:

1. Plan ahead: Visit www.eastershow.com.au to browse all the showbags available and make your wish list to bring along to the Show.

2. Set your budget: With 87 showbags for $10 and under, there’s something to suit every family budget.

3. Save the best for last: Plan to visit the showbag Pavilion at the end of the day or store your purchases in one of the lockers outside the Pavilion. Lockers available on-site range from $2 to $23 depending on size and required access.

When it comes to ticket prices, General Manager of the Show, Murray Wilton, recommends taking advantage of Early Bird ticket prices available until 11.59pm on Thursday April 10, the night before the show opens.

This includes 16 per cent off Family Tickets and up to 21 per cent off Carnival Fun Pass credits with Easter Show Fun Pass packages.

“And don’t forget that Kids’ Day is happening on the last day of Show, Tuesday, 22 April, where entry for children is almost half price at $16,” Wilton said.

And the RAS Foundation’s Give & Gather Bag is returning, offering over $80 worth of takeaways and $300 in discount vouchers to use at the Show, all for just $30, with proceeds supporting regional and rural community projects.

The 2025 Sydney Royal Easter Show runs from April 11 – 22.
