Prince William to make first overseas visit of the year but without Kate

Prince William is set to make his first official visit overseas for 2025.

While wife Kate, Princess of Wales, revealed she’s now in remission following her cancer battle last year, she won’t be joining him on the overnight international engagement.

Prince William will fly into the Baltic state, which borders Russia, on March 20, and is set to visit the Mercian Regiment in his role as Colonel-in-Chief.

The 42-year-old will learn about how the regiment is bolstering NATO’s eastern flank as part of Operation Cabrit, the British military deployment to Estonia.

The royal will also carry out engagements in Tallinn, the capital city, to learn more about how the country has responded to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

The royal is following in the footsteps of his uncle, Prince Edward, who also made a two-day visit to troops in Estonia in January in his role as Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Dragoon Guards.
