Aldi Special Buys: Sell-out $179 buy returns for Aldi’s camping essentials sale

In great news for Aussie campers, Aldi has returned its wildly popular six-person tent as a part of its April Special Buys. 

The highly sought-after product is expected to fly out of stores fast again, arriving at Aldi just in time for the Easter holidays. 

The Instant Up six-person tent with awning joins a range of affordable and helpful camping items in the Saturday April 5 sale.

The popular tent, which sells for $179, first went viral in 2020 because of its low price and impressive spaciousness. 

Perfect for family getaways, the tent pops up on its own.

In 2022, the six-person tents sold out in many stores around the country and customers were desperate to track down the product in time for their next camping trip.

Ahead of this year’s camping essentials sale an Aldi spokesperson said, “Our Camping Special Buys are always popular among shoppers and rarely stick around the middle aisle for long.”

The Instant Up six-person tent with awning is back and available to customers from Saturday, April 5. 

Aldi shoppers are also getting excited about the rechargeable bug zapper, which retails for just $14.99. 

The convenient buy is water resistant against splashing water such as light rain; it has four lighting modes and includes a USB-C charging cable.

The Aldi Fans Australia Facebook page has discovered the product, with a customer asking, “Has anyone tried the Aldi brand rechargeable bug Zapper that’s advertised in the catalogue?”

One user replied, “We hang one in our [six-person] tent at camp. I usually turn it on as the sun goes down, as that’s when the mozzies start to come out, then turn it off and recharge it the next morning.”

Another added simply, “They are great.” 

The April 5 Special Buys also include the $34.99 adult snuggle hoodie, which is available in a pullover or zip-up style.

The cosy product is perfect for staying warm on an evening outdoors. It comes in one size and is sherpa-lined with a kangaroo-style pocket.
