It seems we won’t be seeing the Prince and Princess of Wales return to the royal family’s Easter celebrations this year.
Multiple publications report Prince William, Catherine and their three children won’t be joining the royals at the annual Easter Sunday service at Windsor Castle.
Instead, the Wales family will be spending the holiday at their country home in Norfolk, Anmer Hall.

“They are choosing to spend time together as a family before the children go back to school,” a source is quoted as telling The Mirror‘s Russell Myers.
This will be the second year royal fans miss out on seeing William, Kate, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis out and about for Easter.
The family also missed the 2024 ceremony at St George’s Chapel as the princess was undergoing cancer treatment at the time.

Her cancer had only been revealed to the public weeks earlier.
The Mirror reports Prince William notified his father King Charles of his plans to celebrate Easter privately.
The King and Queen Camilla are expected to be joined by numerous members of the royal family at Windsor on Sunday.

Last year, the event marked King Charles’ first public appearance since his own cancer diagnosis was announced.
The monarch was joined by family members including the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and their son James, Earl of Wessex, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York.

Charles and Camilla kicked off the royals’ Easter celebrations on Thursday, attending the royal maundy service at Durham Cathedral.
The King had been forced to miss the 2024 service, which happens annually on the Thursday before Easter, due to his cancer treatment, with Queen Camilla attending solo on his behalf.
