The Greek royal family have marked their first Easter since being granted citizenship.
The royals lost their Greek citizenship three decades ago in 1994. The monarchy was previously abolished in a 1974 referendum.
In December, ten members of the former royal family – the late King Constantine II and Queen Anne-Marie’s five children and five of their grandchildren – regained citizenship.
Following the decision, the late Greek King’s eldest son Crown Prince Pavlos has marked the Easter holidays with a heartfelt message to his thousands of Instagram followers.

“May the Resurrection of the Lord fill our hearts with hope and love, bring us closer to our loved ones and inspire us to look at the future with optimism and faith,” he added.
“Wishing to all a Happy Easter, with health, joy and peace in all corners of the earth where a Greek heart beats!”
Pavlos’ wife, Marie-Chantal, Crown Princess of Greece, also posted to social media to mark the Easter holidays with the family.
