King Frederik of Denmark has zoomed across a gorge on a deep zipline during a visit to the Faroe Islands.
Frederik, 57, tried out the tourist attraction alongside his wife Queen Mary, 53, and the couple’s daughter Princess Josephine, 14.
The royals shared their adventure on social media alongside several photos.

“Their Majesties the King and Queen and Her Royal Highness Princess Josephine rushed across a deep zipline gorge at Vágsei Prinsi in Su veduroy,” the post read.
“The dramatic landscape, where the sea meets the steep cliffs, formed the frame for the experience.

“The visit took place in connection with a visit to Su turoy, where the Royal Couple and Princess were introduced to the nature and activities of the area.”
In the first photo, King Frederik is seen smiling widely from the zipline, strapped securely into a harness.
The next photo shows the incredible view from the zipline, taking in mountains and the ocean.
The next photo shows Queen Mary dressed warmly as she navigates the zipline.
Princess Josephine is next. She too is dressed warmly as she steers across the gorge following her parents.
The royal trio also shared a photo showing them walking across a green field. They also posed for a photo together at the picturesque location.

King Frederik and Queen Mary began a historic tour of the Faroe Islands earlier this week, marking the first time they’ve been to the region since the change of throne more than a year ago.
The two-day visit was kept secret until their arrival.
On Wednesday the King and Queen arrived in the capital Tórshavn on board the royal ship Dannebrog and were greeted by large crowds who had lined the harbour.

King Frederik and Queen Mary were dressed in Faroese national costumes in honour of their hosts.
The first day of the tour saw the royals hike around Koltur, the least populated of the 18 Faroe Islands.

Princess Josephine, her twin brother, Prince Vincent, and their elder siblings Crown Prince Christian, 19, and Princess Isabella, 18, were last in the Faroe Islands with their parents in 2018 for a previous tour.
In a speech hours after the royal arrival, the King joked about his other children being left at home.

“I wonder if the other three are sending an envious thought to Josephine these days,” he said.
On the final day of their tour, the king and queen toured a tree in the plantation in Tvoeroyri on the island of Suduroyin the Faroe Islands.
The pair took to the ground with shovels to plant a tree of their own.
Princess Josephine didn’t join them for the final day of their adventure.
