The female Cavoodle made her Twitter debut earlier via new her account, which dubbed her “Australia’s 1st Dog.”

“Hello Australia! Dad thought it’d be a furry good idea to get me a Twitter account so here I am! Woof!” the account’s first tweet read.

It’s since emerged neither Albanese nor his office created the account for Toto. A 20-year-old law student from Brisbane is behind the account, reported as saying, “I just like the dog.”

In an interview Albanese revealed how his pet helps him handle the demands of being a politician.

“I definitely feel better for all the time I spend with Toto,” he told the Adelaide Advertiser while promoting a fundraising calendar the pair starred in together.

“She’s loving, she’s loyal, she’s great company, and she’s always so happy to see me.”
