Children horrified as Rapunzel animatronic mauled by birds at Disney park – days after viral Olaf malfunction

It wasn’t a great week for the animatronics Disney‘s theme parks.

Just days later Olaf fell and fell in Disneyland In Paris, visitors to Disney Sea in Tokyo were shocked when beloved character Rapunzel was mauled by birds.

Spectators watched as an animatronic Rapunzel leaned out the window and sang before two crows grabbed strands of her golden hair in their mouths.

The crowd screamed in amazement as they watched the dramatic scene play out as they tried to enjoy themselves on a ride.

The video was captioned: “Onlookers were shocked when a pair of crows helped themselves to Rapunzel’s hair today at Tokyo DisneySea.”

According to PopBasethe animatronic was later removed.

Fans flocked to the comments section to report on the sad sight.

“Nature always finds a way to steal the show! Those clever crows simply let their hair down and turn Rapunzel’s locks into a cozy nest. Talk about a fairytale twist!” said one.

“Disney spent millions on Rapunzel’s hair… and two crows turned it into free nesting material. Nature wins,” another added.

“Those crows did what Gothel never could: they actually took the hair,” someone joked.

“That’s such a weirdly specific image, two crows just casually nibbling on Rapunzel’s hair like it’s a string of cheese. I think the animatronic was a bit too realistic for the local wildlife. I wonder if they’ll add some anti-crow measures when they bring it back,” said one fan.

“What’s going on at Disneyland?” one fan commented, sharing photos of Olaf’s unfortunate incident from earlier this week.

The short seven-second video of the second Olaf – a beloved character from the Frozen movie franchise – frozen and collapsed went viral a day earlier and is sure to become a common meme in the future.

The video started with a crowd of people surrounding a small animatronic character portraying Olaf.

The character performed for the rapt audience, waving his arms, nodding his head, moving his mouth and blinking before appearing to freeze.

After a second or two, Olaf fell backwards as the crowd shouted. Olaf then suffered one final humiliation: his carrot nose popped out and landed on the ground less than a meter away.

A Disneyland employee, dressed in costume, then knelt next to Olaf before the video ended.

Some social media users reported that it was only the character’s second day on the job.

Another wrote on TikTok that they had waited in line for 30 minutes to see Olaf before he collapsed.

Many people praised Olaf’s comedic genius. “The natural comic timing of this is the best evidence I have ever seen for the existence of God,” wrote one. “There’s no funnier way he could have fallen,” said another.

The good news is that videos have since emerged allegedly showing the same animatronic Olaf on a boat at Disneyland, with many breathing a sigh of relief that he was okay.
