Man injured after light plane crashes into paddock on NSW Southern Highlands

Emergency services responded to reports of a plane crash on Medway Road in Berrima, about 80 miles from Sydney, shortly after 7.45am today.

A man in his fifties, believed to be the only occupant of the plane, was left trapped in the wreckage.

He is now being treated at the scene for leg injuries.

Multiple crews, including firefighters and a helicopter, remain on scene.
