The royal couple captioned the photo: “Welcome to the family, Otto! 1 today.”
The sweet photo was captured by none other than Princess Kate herself, who is a self-confessed ‘avid amateur photographer’ and often takes behind-the-lens portraits of she and Prince William’s three children.

They confirmed in February this year that they had chosen to keep one male from Orla’s litter in 2025.

Both dogs appeared in Will and Kate’s recent anniversary post, which featured the two alongside children Prince George, 12, Prince Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, eight.
Eagle-eyed royal fans could spot the two pups in the far left corner, with Orla getting a pat from Prince William while Otto lay comfortably to the side.
This photo was Otto’s first publicly shared family photo.
The prince and princess’s first family dog was also a cocker spaniel named Lupo.
The dog had been a ‘belated wedding present’ from Kate’s brother James Middleton.
Orla was introduced into the family circle just before Lupo’s death in 2020 and has been a constant presence at many photo sessions since then.
