Ashley St. Clair and Elon Musk son’s name revealed and paternity confirmed

The name of Elon Musk‘s baby has been revealed just months after Ashley St. Clair sued for sole custody of their child

According to the Wall Street Journal, the 26-year-old conservative influencer’s infant son, previously referred to as R.S.C., is named Romulus.

Musk’s paternity test in the case was also revealed, and per a report from Labcorp, his “Probability of Paternity” was 99.9999%.

People also confirmed with a spokesperson for St. Clair on the baby’s name and that a paternity test suggested an almost 100% probability of paternity.

Musk is also a father to 13 other children he shares with three different women.

In February 2025, St. Clair took to X to announce that she and Musk had welcomed their first child together in September 2024.

“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause,” she wrote at the time.

“I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment.

“For that reason, I ask that the media honour our child’s privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting.”

In March, Musk and St. Clair made headlines again when the right-wing columnist revealed she was selling her Tesla Model S after he allegedly reduced her child support.

The Tesla founder responded in a tweet, writing, “I don’t know if the child is mine or not, but am not against finding out. No court order is needed. Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year.”

Following this, St. Clair filed a petition for sole custody with the New York Supreme Court on February 21 (February 22 in Australia) and a paternity petition, as per People

She claims the billionaire was not present at the child’s birth, maintaining that Musk “has met him only three (3) times and has had no involvement in his care and upbringing.”

In the documents, St. Clair shared pictures of text message exchanges that aim to prove that Musk “acknowledged parentage of the child in various written correspondences”.

One such message includes a picture of St. Clair holding the newborn child to her chest shortly after birth.

The person she sent it to, identified as EM and who she claims is Musk, heart reacted to the message and asked, “All well?” to which St. Clair replied, “He is perfect”.

St. Clair alleges that Musk first met his son on September 21, 2024, spending two hours with them that day and then one hour the next day. She claims that the last time Musk met with R.S.C was on November 30, 2024, and only for 30 minutes.

St. Clair’s representative, Brian Glickich, told People in a statement, “Ashley St. Clair has filed paternity and custody petitions to protect the best interests of her child.”

“She has made every effort to collaborate with Mr. Musk before taking this step. She has no further comment on the contents of the petitions, which speak for themselves.”
