Sydney police are on high alert for possible revenge following the execution of a high-ranking gangster figure in Vietnam.
Coconut Cartel member Lorenzo Lemalu, 24, was shot dead outside a restaurant in Ho Chi Minh.
He was a leading figure in that group after cutting ties with a gang linked to Sydney’s Alameddine crime family.
It is their battle over the drug trade that has caused violence to escalate throughout the city.
Police are now investigating whether the shooting in Vietnam is related to the ongoing feud.
A second member was also reportedly shot.
