The discovery was made this afternoon in Central West N.S.Wmonths after Ingram allegedly murdered his heavily pregnant ex-partner Sophie Quinn, 25, her boyfriend John Harris, 32, and aunt Nerida Quinn, 50, in Lake Cargelligo.
He has been on the run since January 22.
Police said the body was found around 3:30 p.m. next to an abandoned site in the Round Hill Nature Reserve, about 60 miles northeast of Cargelligo Lake.
The dead man is believed to be in his late 30s but has yet to be formally identified
The shooting devastated the small town and threw the entire state into turmoil.
More than a hundred officers were on the scene working from the tips until there were no more leads.
Last month, they said Ingram was seen on the side of the road two days after the alleged murders and they believed he was getting help from the public to evade capture.
In March, police offered a $250,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
