Boris Johnson welcomes fourth child with Carrie Johnson, Poppy Eliza Josephine Johnson

Boris Johnson has welcomed a new baby to his brood, making the bub his ninth child overall.

The former British Prime Minister’s third wife Carrie Johnson shared a post to Instagram revealing the happy news.

Carrie, 37, shared snaps from the hospital room of the now family of six, with Boris, 60, staring adoringly down at his latest child.

“Welcome to the world Poppy Eliza Josephine Johnson born on 21st May,” wrote Carrie, sharing her unusual nicknames with “Aka Pops, Pop Tart”.

“I can’t believe how pretty and tiny you are. Feel so incredibly lucky. We are all totally smitten.

“Not sure I’ve slept a minute since you were born as can’t stop looking at how completely lovely you are.”

She went on to thank the maternity team at University College London Hospital for their help throughout all of her pregnancies, before sharing that her other children, “Wilf, Romy and Frank are utterly delighted, particularly Romy who was desperate for a little sister. Bring on the matching dresses.”

She confirmed this child will be her and Boris’ final child together and that Poppy will be their “final gang member”.

The now mum-of-four is “Back from hospital now and time for cocktails and pizza with my tiny baby snoozing on my lap. Life doesn’t get any better.”

The mum seemingly carried out the pregnancy in secret, with fans in the comments surprised at the new addition.

“Whaattt? How did you keep that a secret?” wrote one.

“Is this your baby Carrie? Incredible. None of us knew!!!” another added.

Carrie is Boris Johnson’s third wife, with which he also has son Wilfred (born 2020), daughter Romy (born 2021) and Frank (born 2023).

He also has children with his second wife Marina Wheeler, who are now adults. They include Lara (born 1993), Milo (born 1995), Cassia (born 1997), and Theodore (born 1999).

He also had a child with arts consultant Helen McIntyre named Stephanie, born 2009, while he was still married to Wheeler.
