British Royal Family Easter 2025: King Charles and Queen Camilla lead royals at Easter Sunday Service, with Prince William and Kate absent

King Charles III and Queen Camilla led the royals attending the annual Easter Sunday Mattins service this year – with a few noticeable royal absences during the celebrations.

Charles and Camilla arrived at St. George’s Chapel on the Windsor Castle grounds on Sunday April 20, with several members of the British Royal Family in tow.

Missing from the royal tradition for the second year in a row however were the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children.

It was reported days before the outing that William, Catherine and their children would be spending the holiday at their country home in Norfolk, Anmer Hall.

They did not attend last year due to Catherine’s cancer diagnosis.

After kicking off the Easter celebrations with the royal maundy service at Durham Cathedral on Thursday, Charles and Camilla stepped out for Easter Sunday in coordinated blue outfits.

Camilla looked regal in a Fiona Clare Couture dress detailed with intricate embroidery.

She paired the outfit with a statement matching hat from Irish milliner Philip Treacy.

At one point, Camilla was sweetly surprised with being handed a posy of flowers.

The King and Queen were joined by other member of the British Royal Family, including Charles’ sister, Anne, Princess Royal.

Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh attended the Easter service with their 17-year-old son James, Earl of Wessex, marking a rare public appearance from the teen.

After skipping the royal family’s 2024 Christmas celebrations, Sarah Ferguson was pictured in attendance, twinning in white with her daughter, Princess Eugenie.

The Duchess of York’s other daughter Beatrice was spotted at the service, just months after welcoming her second child in January.

Beatrice attended with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Prince Andrew also made a rare public appearance alongside his family.

Andrew was also not present at the royal family’s annual Christmas at Sandringham.
