Bunnings finds: Shoppers in a frenzy over the very Aussie details in Bunnings new $13 garden gnome range

The classic garden gnome has been given a very Aussie makeover in a fun range that has just launched at Bunnings.

Though only recently released, the Aussie gnomes are already causing a buzz on social media after a shopper shared a video of the products at her local store.

Skye’s TikTok features a look at the entire collection of gnomes, which cost just $12.98 each.

“Look what I found at Bunnings today! How adorable are these? You’ve got Shazza, you’ve got the bikie, you’ve got the fisher guy. They are so funny – I couldn’t help myself, I had to do a quick video for everyone… there’s quite a few of them but they seem like a decent price, a very Aussie thing to have,” she said in the clip.

Skye’s video shows there are at least nine gnomes in the range including Stevo the croc-wrangler gnome, Jacko the fishing gnome, Rocko the bikie gnome, Macca the council worker gnome, Flora the gardener gnome, Gazza the beach-bum gnome, Jonno the BBQ gnome, Bazza the bogan gnome and Shazza the Sheila gnome.

Iconic Aussie details featured on the gnomes include Shazza holding a beer and wearing an Akubra and tank top and Stevo wearing an outfit like Mick Dundee. Several are wearing thongs, though Bazza the bogan is wearing them with socks on.

Some of the gnomes are more hilarious than others, with Gazza wearing a mankini while Flora is the most traditional and sweet looking of all the gnomes.

The TikTok prompted a huge response from Bunnings customers who have been trying to find them in stores.

“As a council worker I want one,” a man said.

“Will check it out I need Flora. As I’m a florist lmao,” one commented

“They are sooo cool about time we see more aussie stuff in stock,” a shopper wrote.

“I’m getting my keys now…,” another said.

After seeing how popular the gnomes were among TikTokers, Skye returned to the store to make sure she could get a few.

“I went back and got 4 while I still can judging by the response on this video,” she said.

In a follow-up post, Skye showed her four gnomes in her garden with Flora, Shazza, Rocko and Macca all looking very at home.

9honey Living reached out to Bunnings to find out the latest on the availability of the cute new range and it seems you should get in quick if you want one (or all).

“Our Aussie Statue Gnomes hit shelves a few weeks ago at various stores across Australia, and we’re pleased to see they’re already loved by customers,” Adam Cole, Bunnings general manager merchandise, said.

“The Gnomes are available as part of a limited promotion, so will only be available until sold out. But we are always guided by customer demand, and will notify customers of any future stock updates.”

This isn’t the first time Bunnings has released a gnome range with an Aussie inspiration. Last year the retailer sold Bluey gnomes for a limited time to celebrate the show’s own version of the hardware store Hammerbarn.
