Bunnings storage box hack gardeners never knew they needed – and for $1

B-unnings has done it again.

A storage box sold at the hardware store has been adopted by some crafty people gardeners who discovered that the item is perfect for storage seeds.

The 750ml All Set Storage Container will cost customers just $1.

Content creator Chloe Cook realized the storage boxes were the perfect size to store her seeds.

“How cute are these?” she says in a video on Instagram.

“They only cost a dollar, I bought a lot of them to save my seeds!”

Other people used the comments to explain other things they could use the containers for.

“I saw these and thought they would be great for a classroom,” someone wrote under the video.

“I could put nails and drills in it,” someone else wrote.

“I use mine for seeds too,” said a third person.

The mini storage containers are one of the many small storage items that are going viral online.

Bunnings also sells a Craftright mini toolbox for $2, which is 7 inches long.

The tool box can also be used to store seeds or other garden supplies.

Another online content creator found another hack for saving seedlings using Kmart items.

TikTok user @culinary.gardener created a seed library organization system with the $18 photo and craft storage box.

He posted a video on his page explaining how he used the box.

The box-like plastic tub contains 12 individual snap-close boxes, which are just the right size to fit most seed packets.

“Kmart Australia has launched the best new product for gardeners and it’s not even in the garden section… I went to the store, picked one up and couldn’t believe how perfect it is for that,” he said in the clip.

“I have arranged my seeds here by plant type, but afterwards I thought that, because there are 12 of them, you could also simply arrange them per month, so that in one afternoon you can have your entire year’s worth of seeds that you have to sow at a certain time completely in order.

“Just pull it out the first weekend of every month, sow it, and then you’ll be growing all year round without even thinking about it.”
