Caroline Wozniacki pregnant: Tennis star and husband David Lee expecting third child

Danish tennis champion Caroline Wozniacki has announced she is expecting her third child with husband, former NBA player David Lee.

The couple shared the exciting news on Instagram.

“Officially switching to zone defense!” they announced in a joint post.

“Our family couldn’t be more excited to welcome baby #3 soon!”

In the photo the couple are standing on a beach with their children Olivia, three, and James, two.

Olivia is holding ultrasound photos of her new sibling.

Wozniacki – who won the 2018 Australian Open – has been absent from the WTA tour over the past few months since the US Open in 2024.

The former world number one had made her return to the professional circuit in 2023 after farewelling the sport in 2020 and participating in an exhibition in 2022 and briefly working as a commentator.

The tennis star struggled to return to her former glory and withdrew from this year’s Australian Open, reportedly due to rheumatoid arthritis.

Husband David Lee is an American former professional basketball player. He retired in 2017.

The couple reportedly met at a dinner party in Miami in 2015, hosted by a mutual friend.

They officially started dating in 2016 and became engaged during a private dinner cruise in Bora Bora.

Tennis stars whose children followed in their footsteps

The couple wed in Tuscany, Italy, in 2019 before welcoming Olivia in 2021 and James in 2022.

Lee shared an adoring post about his wife for International Women’s Day on March 8, sharing two of photos of Wozniacki including one of her holding their children.

The family attended Wimbledon in 2024, posing for photos all dressed in white and taking part in events.
