As the name suggests the music group is known for playing several different vegetables that have been carved into recorder-like instruments.
Members of the orchestra invited the king to have a go at one of their famous carrot recorders and join them for a song.
It took a brief moment for the king to get a hang of the curious instrument. Band members began playing the famous nursery rhyme as Charles wrangled with the carrot recorder.
But as the true musician he is, he quickly caught on and joined in for the rest of the chorus as cameras flashed to capture the moment.

Charles couldn’t keep the grin off his face as he tried to keep up with the veggie orchestra, breaking into giggles several times throughout the song.

The royal reception was held to recognise those involved in grassroots music groups and projects, according to GB News.
It involved performances from The Royal College of Music, The Sing for Freedom Choir, artist YolanDa Brown, the London Gay Men’s Chorus, the Songs for Ukraine Chorus and, of course, the London Vegetable Orchestra.
The reception comes following Charles’ launch of The King’s Music Room which “offers an exclusive insight into His Majesty’s relationship with music from around the Commonwealth”, according to the Royal Family’s official website.

“Throughout my life, music has meant a great deal to me. I know that is also the case for so many others,” Charles said in his introductory remarks about the project.
“It has that remarkable ability to bring happy memories flooding back from the deepest recesses of our memory, to comfort us in times of sadness, and to take us to distant places.
“But perhaps, above all, it can lift our spirits to such a degree, and all the more so when it brings us together in celebration. In other words, it brings us joy.”
