First, we must understand how this humble-yet-mighty cleaning product works. Rinse aid breaks down the surface tension of the water that sits on dishes so that any liquid can simply slide away. It also prevents hard water stains, making it a miracle product for all sorts of chores.

Windows

Rinse aid is undeniably the secret to streak-free windows.

While washing windows is arduous and often avoided, this tip makes the process far more manageable.

Rinse aid chemicals like surfactants strip any dirt, dust, and grime accumulated on your windows.

Add a tablespoon of rinse aid to the soapy water you usually use to scrub windows and watch the magic happen.

This hack also works equally as well for car windows or glass surfaces.

Shower

Showers are a magnet for hard water stains, which are thankfully no match for a healthy helping of rinse aid, which both cleans the surface and keeps it clearer for longer.

To easily strip stains, add rinse aid to a spray bottle and coat the shower’s surface before using a microfibre cloth to buff away any grime.

Stainless steel

Rinse aid is a great way to tackle streaks and watermarks on stainless steel surfaces and appliances.

Using a small amount of the solution on a microfibre cloth and wiping down the surface will leave you with a clean and sparkling result.

Mirrors

Mixing water and rinse aid in a spray bottle makes a foolproof solution that can be easily spritzed onto mirrors.
