Duke and Duchess of Westminster expecting their first child, Hugh Grosvenor and Olivia Henson baby news

Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, has announced he and his wife Olivia Henson are expecting their first child together.

Grosvenor – who is Prince George’s and Prince Archie’s godfather and close friends with Prince William and Prince Harry – shared the news via a statement.

“The Duke and Duchess of Westminster are very pleased to share that the Duchess is expecting a baby in the summer,” the statement read.

“The couple are delighted with the news and are very much looking forward to starting a family together.”

The baby is due between June and September.

The Duke and Duchess of Westminster, as they are styled, tied the knot in June 2024. Their nuptials was attended by Prince William who was seen mingling happily with the crowd as he served as an usher.

Also in attendance was Princess Eugenie.

The Princess of Wales wasn’t able to attend due to ill health. It was reported that Prince Harry was invited to the nuptials but it was agreed he would not attend due to various issues.

The Duke and Duchess of Westminster have been most recently seen supporting the Westminster Foundation, posing for photos at educational charity School Food matters.

The couple spoke with staff and students as the children ate their breakfast.

“We’re delighted to announce our 5-year partnership with @schoolfoodmatters, awarding £500,000 towards their Healthy Zones programme,” the foundation shared on Instagram.

“This initiative supports schools in creating a food environment that prioritises young people’s health,” the foundation explained.

“Recently, The Duke and Duchess visited a school in Westminster supported by School Food Matters,” they continued.

The visit included joining the students for breakfast club, participating in an allotment tour where children learn about the origins of their food, and attending a cooking session with nursery students.”

The Duke of Westminster is one of the UK’s richest men, said to be worth an astronomical £10 billion (approx. $19 billion AUD).

He also owns about 143,000 acres of land across the UK, including his Cheshire estate and land in Oxfordshire, Lancashire, Scotland, Mayfair and Belgravia.

The couple reportedly moved from from London to Eaton Hall.

“It’s obviously a place where we will live, where we’ll be building our lives together,” Olivia told Town & Country.
