Police are reminding bushwalkers to be prepared after an elderly woman braved a near-freezing night in the south-west of Western Australia.
The 87-year-old rationed a packet of raisins until she was located.
The alarm was raised on Friday when she failed to return from a bushwalk near the Donnelly River Village area, about 280 kilometers south of Perth.
Police called around 8 p.m., sparking a major search.
She was found more than twelve hours later in remote bushland on Saturday afternoon. The woman was tired and dehydrated, but without injuries.
Police used this as a reminder for those heading into remote areas to be prepared.
