Large swells along the east coast have prompted wet warnings weather lingers in parts of N.S.W And Queensland.
Damaging surf conditions, creating the potential for coastal erosion, are forecast today for parts of the Sunshine Coast to Coolangatta and northern NSW.
At the same time, a dangerous surf warning extends from the Sunshine Coast to southern NSW, with people advised to stay out of the water.
The Bureau of Meteorology said in Queensland, affected areas could include Gold Coast, Maroochydore, Coolangatta, Noosa Heads, Moreton Island and Rainbow Beach.
In NSW, Tweed Heads, Byron Bay, Yamba, Evans Head, Ballina and Mullumbimby are also all under warning.
The dangerous conditions follow a wet week in eastern Australia and are expected to ease later in the weekend.
Despite the rough conditions easing, humid conditions are expected to resume next week, especially in the southeast.
Some parts of these states could also qualify thunderstormssnow and stormy wind.
