Using Instagram’s “Notes” feature, he wrote: “Love u moms but mothers day sucks ass” on Sunday, May 11. He then showcased this note to his 294 million followers by posting a screenshot to his Instagram story.

He later added another message stating: “Good luck today for anyone navigating Mother’s Day.”

Unsurprisingly, Justin’s followers were taken aback by these remarks, leading to significant backlash online. Numerous fans accused him of embarrassing Hailey on what was meant to be a memorable occasion, with one viral tweet labeling his behavior as “vile.” Ultimately, Justin removed the note after a few hours.

However, this gesture came too late for many, as the star continued to receive disapproving glances for his thoughtless comment. So, it was a pleasant surprise for fans when Hailey cleverly turned the tables on Justin during his first Father’s Day.
