Four-year-old boy calls police on mum after she ate his ice cream

When a four-year-old boy in the US called emergency services, nobody could have predicted the crime he was about to report.

According to a Facebook post from the Village of Mount Pleasant Police Department, the Wisconsin-based boy called 911 to snitch on his own mother after she ate his ice cream.

A recording of the call obtained by WCAX reveals the youngster’s hilarious complaint before his mum took over the phone call.

“Hello, this is Racine County 911. What’s the address of the emergency?” the handler asked upon receiving the call.

“My mummy is being bad,” he said, to which the dispatcher replied, “OK, what’s going on?”

“Come and get my mummy,” the four-year-old yelled before his mum took the phone off him.

“Hi, what’s going on over there?” the dispatcher asked after hearing an adult.

“Oh, this little one got the phone, and he’s four,” the mum explained, “and so we’re trying to catch him because he said he was gonna call 911.”

“No – I called the police and I just told her to come and get my mummy … and I just told her to put her to jail. So leave me alone,” the boy said.

The child’s mother then confessed, “I ate his ice cream, so that’s probably why he’s calling 911.”

The police department detailed the hilarious interaction in a Facebook post where they revealed their unexpected reaction.

“On 3/4/25, Officer Gardinier and Officer Ostergaard were dispatched for a 911 hangup,” the post began.

“A little boy called 911 saying his mum was being bad and needed to go to jail.”

“When Officers arrived, he said his mum ate his ice cream and needed to go to jail for it.

“He told them he no longer wanted her to go to jail and just wanted some ice cream.”

Child’s angry note to dad with unexpected follow up

“Officers responded back today to surprise him with some ice cream after he decided he didn’t want mum in trouble anymore!” they concluded.

The youngster was pictured in a sweet photo alongside officers who brought him ice cream.
