Geraldton man Anthony Walley fronts court accused of Terry Foord’s murder

Published on

A Geraldton man faced court today charged with the murder of Terry Foord in Perth’s northern suburbs.

Anthony Walley was charged in the 69-year-old’s death at a state-owned home in Padbury after Foord was found with serious injuries on Wednesday evening.

Emergency services provided first aid to the man, known to the family as “pop Terry”, before he was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital, where he died shortly afterwards.

Homicide detectives and forensic officers then entered to collect evidence.

The police assume that the pair were known to each other.

Neighbors say they heard yelling at the house frequently and this wasn’t the first time police were called to the Buchanan Way home.

The 39-year-old suspect, from the Geraldton suburb of Wonthella, about four hours north of Padbury, was arrested at the scene.

Walley has been taken into custody and will appear in court again at the end of this month.
