Ikea Australia launches pick up lockers at Rhodes, Sydney store, open 3am until midnight

Ikea Australia has announced a major change for customers, launching a brand new service located at one of its busiest locations.

The home furnishing retailers has launched pick-up lockers at the Ikea Rhodes store in Sydney, allowing customers to shop and pick up their Ikea orders during the early morning or late into the evening.

There are 54 pick-up lockers located near the existing Ikea ‘click and collect’ area.

The pick-up lockers can be accessed from 3am until midnight.

All customers need to do is to select ‘pick-up locker’ when they place their order online, via the Ikea app, via remote shopping or in store.

Once the locker option is selected, the customer is sent an email notification when their order is ready, with a unique pin number they can use to open the locker at any time of their choosing.

Some size restrictions apply.

If your order is too large for locker pickup, customers will be contacted to arrange an instore pickup from ‘click and collect’ counters.

The cost of using a pick-up locker is the same as ‘click and collect’ which is free for Ikea Family members. Non-members will pay $5.

Michael Davey-Sutherland, Fulfilment Development Manager at Ikea Australia, said, “We are always looking for ways to make shopping at IKEA more convenient and accessible.

“We’re excited to be able to give our Sydney customers the opportunity to now pick up their orders with one quick stop at any time that suits them.”
