Catherine, 43, was dressed casually yet warmly for her visit to the shores of Lake Windermere in the Lake District in a video that was reportedly filmed in March.

She donned a baker boy cap for the visit, her long hair worn out in loose curls.

The royal catted with Chief Scout, Dwayne Field, before joining a group of budding Scouts who are learning the ropes.

“I find it a very spiritual and very intense emotional reconnection I suppose, these environments,” she told Field in the video.

“Not everyone has that same relationship perhaps with nature, but it is so therefore meaningful for me as a place to balance and find a sort of sense of peace and reconnection in what is otherwise a very busy world.”

The royal spoke of how people “belong in nature”.

“We’re in tune with it and I think we need to come back to it because there is definitely something about being in nature that’s connected to our wellbeing,” she said.

Later in the video, Catherine joined a group of Scouts as they examined a map.
