A new piece of music entitled ‘The Weather of My Being’ had been created for the couple by Professor Paul Melor who has written music for a number of royal events including for King Charles’ coronation in 2023.
The new piece was performed by St John’s Festival Choir during the hour-long service.

Charles, 76, and Camilla, 77, waved to royal followers who had gathered outside the church. They were handed a hand-written manuscript of the new music before entering the church.
King Charles was wearing a tweed jacket and tartan kilt with Queen Camilla dressed in a blue coat with a matching tartan lapel and red hat.
Professor Mealor explained he “set great poetry to music” for the couple’s anniversary to combine the King’s love of music with the Queen’s love of literature.
“So I wrote it, and then sent it to them, and then they said, ‘Why not perform it now, just literally after the wedding anniversary?'” BBC reports the composer as saying.
“So we had the premiere today at the service, which was very powerful”.

He added that they were “very touched” to have been given the manuscript of the new piece.
The piece of music was made up of a total of three anniversary songs, the first to a poem by Daniel Hoffman which compared love to the seasons.

The second was a setting of words from the Bible’s Song of Solomon about the desire for a profound and unwavering love while reflecting the couple’s faith.
The third and final song was a setting of Robert Burns’ famous poem A Red Red Rose, reflecting on the Queen’s love and support of literature and reading.
The latter was also a nod to the couple’s love of Scotland where they celebrated their honeymoon in 2005.
