Kmart finds: The $129 Kmart buy that has every piece of luggage you’ll ever need

Finding the right luggage will make traveling a little less stressful and more fun.

There are plenty of options to choose from with a range of colours, hard or soft shells, wheels, locks and compartments.

But often you don’t just need one bag; There is a carry-on size, as well as medium and large suitcases, a toiletry bag and a duffel bag.

Instead of buying them all separately, you can get these five pieces in one handy, matching copy beige set for just $129 at Kmart.

Nine.com.au Travel Editor Kristine Tarbert has used many suitcases and bags during her countless travels for both work and pleasure and is impressed with the beige suitcase set.

“$129 for the five-piece set is an insanely good price,” she says.

The 70cm hard case has a capacity of 103 liters and can hold up to 20kg of weight – perfect for all those souvenirs, while the 60cm hard case has a capacity of 67 liters and can hold up to 15kg, and the 50cm hard case has a capacity of 40 liters and can hold up to 9kg.

The 50cm hard case is also compatible with most airlines’ carry-on requirements.

Just like the other bags in the set: the toiletry bag is 15 cm high, 33 cm wide and 13 cm deep and the travel bag is unfolded 41 cm high, 45 cm wide and 21 cm deep.

The suitcases in this set also meet Tarbert’s suitcase selection criteria, with four spinner wheels and a low product weight, with the largest suitcase weighing just 3.8kg.

“When it comes to choosing a suitcase, there are two main things I always look for: how light the suitcase is without anything in it, and how easy the wheels are to maneuver,” she says.

“These days, a suitcase with four wheels is an absolute must. If you’re still lugging around a suitcase with two wheels, it’s time to upgrade.”

If beige isn’t your color, there is one too lilac set consisting of four pieces for $149. It includes a 70cm hard case, a 46cm hard case, a carrying bag and a waist bag.

For those looking for a suitcase on its own, there are some incredible new options to choose from and they are all hardshell suitcases, which is what Tarbert, who has traveled with Kmart suitcases himself, prefers.

“Personally, I prefer a hard shell because it tends to hold its shape better. I’ve traveled with a few fragile items over the years and have never had a problem with it packed in a hard shell suitcase,” she explains.

Other products include the Albany range of suitcases, which start at $65 for one Hard case of 47 cm and have four spinner wheels.

The Albany hard case of 47 cm is supplied vegetable, graphite And blush colours, weighs only 2.7 kg and has a maximum load capacity of 9 kg.

It also has a lockable zipper on the main compartment, a TSA-approved lock, and is compatible with most airlines’ carry-on requirements.

Also inside vegetable, graphite And blush colors is the 71 cm Albany hard casewith an expandable main compartment. It weighs 4.7 kg and has a maximum load capacity of 20 kg.

If you want something between carry-on and a large suitcase, the Albany range includes the 61 cm hard case, only in graphite. This suitcase weighs 3.7 kg and can carry 15 kg. Like the 71 cm suitcase, it also has an expandable main compartment.

There is also the option to get matching hand luggage and check-in suitcases with the suitcase two-piece hardcase suitcase, available in white, silver or blue for $109.

They have a sleek, polished look with eight spinner wheels, expandable main compartments, fully lined interior, lockable zippers for the main compartment and a TSA-approved lock.
