Kmart finds: The $35 Kmart cleaning buy so popular an overseas traveller is taking one home to Italy with her

An Italian woman has found an unconventional souvenir during her recent trip to Australia, taking home a Kmart cleaning product.

Kmart’s Instagram page reposted a video shared by the traveller’s daughter showing her mother shopping in store for the $35 dual section spin mop.

“Not my mom going back to Italy with a Kmart mop,” the text on the clip read.

After buying the mop the woman then packs it into her suitcase.

“@rakeleeee__‘s mum proves that when a product is that good you make luggage space for it,” Kmart captioned the post.

The video proved relatable for a lot of people who either stock up on Kmart products when in Australia or send it overseas to friends and family.

“Omg! Mum is coming in 25 days; I can easily see this happening. I can’t wait to introduce her to Kmart,” a woman commented.

“We sent Kmart tees to Canada. They were so impressed,” a shopper said.

“My mom half luggage is Kmart every single holidays. Hahahha she lives in Brazil and loves Kmart!” one wrote.

“Yep Kmart air fryer back to the UK several years ago, still going strong,” a traveller said.

“Literally did the same yesterday! Bought a bunch of things to bring back with me to the Netherlands,” another wrote.

There was also praise in the comments for the mop that is likely now in its new home in Italy.

“This is the best mop my mum even went and got one after I said how good it was. I would have done the same,” a woman commented.

The mop has also been popular with shoppers in Australia with a 4.3 star rating on the Kmart website.

It was snapped up by many customers when it was first released, including Corinne Mayfair who showed how well it worked in a TikTok video.

“If anyone needs me, I’m just mopping my walls,” she captioned the post.

”I LOVE IT! I thought I’d just try it out and ended up mopping every wall in our home. Separates dirty from clean water,” Mayfair added in the comment section.

Perhaps the best thing about the mop is that it features two sections so that you can separate dirty water from clean, which is an issue when using a traditional mop and bucket.

It also features a large square surface that gives good coverage of a wall or floor and glides easily without flipping.

But if you’re having a problem getting the mop to spin there is one thing you need to do.

“Unclip latch. Not gonna lie, my husband had to show me how to spin it but it’s soooo good once you’ve got the hang of it,” Mayfair said.
