Kmart finds: The $39 Kmart buy making living rooms cosier for winter

When the cold weather sets in, there’s nothing better than cozying up in the living room with a good book or TV show.
It only takes a few major furniture changes to make a room feel like a warm sanctuary to be in.

Kmart furniture buyer Nicholas says these pieces are a beautiful combination because together they are “warm, modern and effortlessly styled with depth and softness”.
“The sculptural shapes and bold shapes make the space feel relaxed and contemporary, while the layered texture of wood, upholstery and faux fur provides contrast,” he says.
Another great option, especially for relaxing in winter, is to create a corner. It’s the perfect way to use an awkward space or part of the room that you’re not sure what to do with.
For a good reading nook you need a comfortable chair, something to rest your feet on and a table where you can make coffee or tea.
