Kmart finds: The ‘cutest’ $5 Kmart home buy shoppers are running to stores for

A new $5 Kmart item has shoppers in a frenzy thanks to its cute design and bargain price.

The product has gone viral on social media with customers sharing videos of it in store and at home.

It’s prompted many to declare they’re ‘running’ to stores to purchase the mugs, which come in strawberry and cherry designs.

”Run to @kmart australia !!! The cutest ceramic mugs!!” Maddison captioned a TikTok post showing the mugs in Kmart.

Those who saw Maddison’s video commented that they are doing just that.

“RUNNING for the cherry one,” a woman said.

“Omg running there now,” another wrote.

The same sentiment was shared by TikToker Rachael Ward who captioned her post, “The way I ran to @kmart australia”.

Shoppers who saw Rachael’s video were also eager to purchase them.

“i don’t need anymore mugs like at all but you best believe i’m getting at least 2 of those,” a woman said.

“Immediately running to Kmart omg!!!” a customer commented.

“I need that cherry one and I don’t even like cherries,” another wrote.

The new Kmart home products everyone’s talking about in 2025

The mugs measure 7.9cm high by 15cm wide with a depth of 11cm and are made from stoneware, which has been hand-glazed.

Both the cherry and strawberry mugs have a handmade-style shape which gives them a rustic, cottagecore vibe.

The fruits on the mug are raised providing a cute and fun detail to make your cuppa extra joyful.

They are both dishwasher and microwave safe so you can enjoy hot chocolate as well as coffee and tea and then easily clean them afterwards.

The love for the mugs prompted shoppers to suggest other fruit and vegetable designs they’d like to see.

“Add a mushroom one and I’m SOLD,” one commented on a TikTok.

“Wish there were lemon ones too They’re super cute though,” a customer said on Kmart’s Instagram post.

There was also a suggestion to increase the range of items in the strawberry and cherry designs.

“Matching side plates would be super cute,” a shopper said.

The strawberry and cherry mugs are just one of many new homewares to land in Kmart lately.

There are also lots of other new mug designs available if the fruit ones aren’t your thing; including green and white and pink and white stripe mugs, pink and red and lilac and green grid patterned mugs, a bow mug and ‘Always right’ and ‘You are my fave’ mugs – all are priced at $5 each.

Other new products landing in stores lately are gingham quilt cover sets, luxe glass candles, a large cleaning caddy, a pink stripe dinner set, check cotton bath and hand towels and new linen-look storage boxes and bags.

Many of the Kmart products shoppers have been obsessed with lately are those that are keeping as warm and cosy during winter.

One such product is the $79 electric fireplace heater, which has a realistic log-flame effect without all the hassle of a fireplace.

A shopper named Pheebs used it to warm up the cabin she is revamping and showed how much it added to the cosy vibe of the space in a TikTok post.

”Crafty cabin upgrade; winter edition! Picked up this adorable faux fire place heater and it’s added such cute ambiance to the place,” she captioned a TikTok video.
