The British royal family has welcomed its newest arrival.

Lady Tatiana Mountbatten, 34, who is the second cousin once removed of King Charles III, has recently welcomed a baby boy with her husband Alexander ‘Alick’ Dru.

The royal family member shared the news on Instagram with a series of sweet family photos – the first an adorable photo of her newborn son Auberon, nicknamed Albie.

The family, along with new baby Albie, have recently enjoyed some time in the countryside in England’s Hampshire, away from their usual residence in London.

“His big sister has adored being outside all day every day and is slowly getting used to him.

“We’ve played, rested, nourished, slept a little, loved a lot and enjoyed every minute of the glorious spring weather.”

“Unbelievably grateful.”

The royal gave birth to her second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on January 22, weeks before her official due date.

Beatrice, 36, recalled the experience in an article she for British Vogue, writing, “nothing quite prepares you for the moment when you realise your baby is going to arrive early”.

“I learnt so much from this pregnancy journey – the latter stages of which I spent with all of these questions spinning through my mind,” she wrote.

She went on to describe “months of sheer worry” they both endured following the news.

Thankfully, her baby Athena made her arrival into the world a few weeks early, but healthy.

Beatrice said she felt “very fortunate” her daughter received such excellent care, adding that she’s “extremely aware of how lucky I am”, describing her daughter as “so tiny” when she was born.
