Lauren Miller death: Update on newborn after Real Housewives’ executive assistant dies during childbirth

Days after Real Housewives staff member Lauren Miller died during childbirth, her husband Kevin Miller has shared a heartwarming update on their newborn.

Miller, who was an executive assistant on the Real Housewives of New York City and Salt Lake City, died on June 9, minutes after giving birth to her and Kevin’s son Jackson.

According to a GoFundMe created for the family by Lauren’s colleagues, newborn Jackson was admitted to the NICU (neo-natal intensive care unit) following his birth and his mother’s death. Now, despite the harrowing events, Jackson is safe at home.

“Kevin is delighted to share that baby Jackson is out of the NICU and at home with his dad and sister,” Lauren’s colleague Sherri Pender wrote on the GoFundMe page.

“He has been an angel and has eaten and slept like a champ. He is so alert and attentive already at just 4 days old.”

In the update, Ponder shared some photos of the newborn at home with the family.

“Kevin also wanted to share the attached photos and has been so deeply touched by everyone’s generosity and kindness,” she wrote.

Almost US$150,000 ($231,000) has been raised for the family so far.

The update comes after Lauren’s employer, Shed Media announced the sad news of her passing to Instagram.

“It is with devastated hearts that we share that our beloved colleague, Lauren, died unexpectedly just moments after giving birth to her baby boy,” the June 12 statement read.

“Lauren leaves behind her husband, Kevin, three-year-old daughter Emma and newborn son Jackson.

“Of all the things Lauren loved most, being a mother was at the top and ensuring that her children are being taken care of would mean everything to her.”

Her grieving husband, Kevin, shared a comment in the wake of her loss.

“Lauren is the love of my life and I was blessed by God that she chose to spend her life with me and give me two beautiful children to remember her every minute of everyday,” he wrote.

“Please pray for our family and thank you all for the prayers, kind words and thoughts. God bless.”

On a post by another colleague he wrote, “Lauren is truly the love of my life and I will miss her every moment of everyday. She lives on through her children and we have peace knowing she is in heaven with God looking down on us and keeping us safe and filled with love.”
