A man is on the run after allegedly crashing into a house and stabbing a woman, just hours after allegedly stabbing a man.
The man is said to have crashed a silver Honda CRV into a house in Dandenong North at around 10.15am before getting out and stabbing a woman living at the property.
The man then fled on foot, while the woman was treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Hours earlier, police suspect that the man was involved in a stabbing in Epping, this time attacking a man with a knife around 7:30 am.
The man in his 40s from Epping was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with injuries to his upper body, according to Ambulance Victoria, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
Police believe that both incidents were targeted and that the suspected perpetrator knew both his victims.
The man on the run was last seen wearing a brown shirt and black pants.
If people see him, they are urged not to approach him, but to contact Triple Zero.
