Meghan Markle has clarified her most important ‘title’ after correcting actress Mindy Kaling on an episode of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan.

The 43-year-old made the clarification during the latest episode of her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder with guest, Girls Who Code founder Reshma Saujani.

There’s been a lot of talk around titles when it comes to Meghan, but she explained the one that matters most is the one with the most significance.

Meghan confirmed that it’s ‘mom’ which means most to her with Saujani, who recalled a comment she had made during a previous interview.

“You have this beautiful line that I quote all the time that ‘the most important title I have is mom.’ And I so desperately wanted that title. You know?” Saujani said after the pair shared their experiences of suffering miscarriages.

Meghan shared, ‘Yes. Now you have the tile of mom. Just like me. Favourite title. Love it. I love being a mom … it’s my favourite thing.”

The sweet explanation came after Meghan famously corrected Kaling on her Netflix series when Kaling joined her to prepare to host a children’s tea party.

The royal was reflecting on her childhood and commented that she used to eat fast food from Jack in the Box.

Kaling remarked, “I don’t think anyone in the world knows that Meghan Markle has eaten Jack in the Box and loves it.”

But Meghan responded with, “It’s funny, you keep saying ‘Meghan Markle’ – you know I’m Sussex now.”

The duchess began the conversation with Saujani by saying, “I’ll bring this up if you are comfortable talking about it… I have spoken about the miscarriage we experienced.

“And I think in some parallel way, when you have to learn to detach from the thing that you have so much promise and hope for and to be able to be OK at a certain point to let something go, something goes that you plan to love for a long time.”
