Meghan Markle news: Duchess shuts down Prince Harry divorce rumours and talks about marriage during podcast interview

Meghan Markle has spoken about her marriage to Prince Harry ahead of the couple’s seventh wedding anniversary on May 19.

The Duchess of Sussex opened up about her love story with the British royal on The Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast.

Meghan, 43, responded “Yes!” when Lima asked her if she thinks she will be married forever.

The duchess also described her husband as a “fox” during the show.

“He’s also a fox, if you haven’t noticed,” she said.

“My husband’s very, very handsome. But his heart is even more beautiful.”

Lima said she loved how Meghan’s eyes were “sparkling” as she spoke about her marriage.

Meghan described Prince Harry as “such a great partner” who fully supports all of her work too.

“I feel that every day in how supportive he’s been and is,” she said.

“But I didn’t know he said that so that’s really nice.”

She spoke of the life they have built after moving from the UK to the US after resigning as senior working royals with the British monarchy in January 2020.

“H, that man loves me so much, and you know, look what we’ve built. We built a beautiful life, and we have two healthy and beautiful children,” she said.

The couple are parents to Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

She compared her husband to the character Super Mario when it comes to how he fights to protect them.

“What’s the goal in Super Mario? They’re like, ‘Slay the dragon, save the princess!'” she said.

“Like, that’s my husband. He’s just out there … he’s just going to do whatever he can to make sure that our family is safe and protected and uplifted and still make time for date nights.”

She also spoke of being in a belated “honeymoon phase” with her husband following years of turmoil.

“You have to imagine, at the beginning, everything’s like butterflies. And then we immediately went into the trenches together, right out of the gate, like six months into dating,” she said.

“You can just enjoy each other in a new way and that’s why I feel like it’s more of a honeymoon period for us now.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex began dating in 2016 before announcing their engagement in November 2017.

The couple wed on May 19, 2018 in a lavish royal wedding that was beamed around the world.

At first, the pair seemed to enjoy their roles as senior working royals however they shocked the world by resigning from their roles in January 2020, relocating to Montecito in the US where they are now based.

The pair launched their own projects which have included Harry’s memoir Spare and their Netflix series Harry & Meghan.

Meghan has debuted her own Netflix series called With Love, Meghan, which is currently filming it’s second season.

She also launched her own range of products under the brand As ever.
