Meghan’s ‘confession’ about Prince Harry, Archie and Lilibet on-stage at the TIME100 Summit in New York: ‘Never would have imagined’

Meghan shared a heartwarming confession about her personal life while on-stage in front of thousands this week.

Speaking onstage at the TIME100 Summit in New York on April 23, the Duchess of Sussex opened up about how her family were the source of her happiness.

“A confession for you today that I can very comfortably say is that I’m the happiest I’ve ever been,” she beamed in conversation with TIME CEO Jessica Sibley.

Meghan went on to praise her husband Prince Harry and their two children; Archie, five, and Lilibet, three.

“To have a partner and a husband who is so supportive, and to have healthy kids who are so joyful in the freeness of their lives and in the safety of their lives that we create for them…” the royal continued.

“Of all the things that have happened in my life, I never would have imagined at this point I would feel so happy and grateful, and I really do,” she said.

During the summit, the Duchess of Sussex gave rare insight into her parenting.

While speaking about online criticism, the royal opened up about how she’s set “boundaries” to protect her mental health and well-being.

Meghan shared her decision was “certainly to role model that as well for my children.”

“I’m conscious of not just raising very strong and confident young woman, but also having a son,” the mum-of-two said, adding “So, I try to model that behaviour.

“I think it’s just as paramount of importance for young men to be raised with a confidence and sense of self that is going to empower the women around them, too.”

Harry and Meghan have largely kept their children out of the spotlight over the years.

The Duchess of Sussex recently opened up on what she loves about having young kids on her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder.

“I think what I do love the most about having young kids in this chapter while I’m building is the perspective that it brings,” she said.

“Because you’re building something while your child’s going through potty training.”
