Michael Schumacher’s daughter Gina welcomes first child with her husband Iain Bethke: ‘Welcome to the world’

The Schumacher family are celebrating some joyous news this week.

Michael Schumacher’s daughter Gina Schumacher, 28, has welcomed her first child with her husband Iain Bethke, who she married in September last year.

The equestrian rider and sportswoman announced the happy news of the birth of a daughter with a black and white photo of herself and her husband holding their newborn child’s hand and writing that their “hearts are fuller than ever”.

“Welcome to the world, Millie 💕,” she wrote, sharing her daughter’s name.

“Born on March 29th, our hearts are fuller than ever. We are beyond blessed to have you in our lives. #welcomeMillie

Millie is the first grandchild of German Formula One legend Michael Schumacher and his wife Corinna Schumacher.

The couple also share son Mick Schumacher, 26, who has followed in his father’s footsteps by entering the Formula One.

In 2013, Michael, 56, suffered a brain injury while skiing in the French Alps, but little is known about his condition, with his family fiercely protecting his privacy.

In December last year, Gina announced her pregnancy with a sweet post, sharing a photo of a tiny horse with a saddle, cowboy boots and pink balloons.

“Impatiently awaiting the arrival of our little girl 💖,” she wrote, tagging her husband.

She and her husband reportedly married at her family’s $50million luxury villa in the idyllic Majorca.
