Michelle Obama has shared an intimate detail about her relationship with husband Barack Obama.
Michelle, 61, shared one of the couple’s regular disputes on the Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce, a clip of which has been released on X ahead of the full episode release.
”My husband teases me about how early I can go to bed. He just doesn’t understand,” Michelle said.

She said she loves “some good sheets” at night when it’s “cool” and while she enjoys when they have people over, she is always keen to curl up in bed once they have gone.
“I’m talking but, you know, the minute we finish up, I’m just trying not to go to bed before the sun goes down,” Michelle, said, adding that her ideal bedtime is “anytime before dinner”.
Michelle and Barack Obama have been married for 32 years and are parents to Malia, 26, and Sasha, 23.

Barack, 63, served as US president from 2009 until 2017, during which the family lived at the White House with Michelle’s mother Marian Robinson, who moved in with the family to help care for Malia and Sasha.
The family returned home to Chicago following Barack’s time in office.
Marian died in May 2024.
Michelle recently launched her own podcast called IMO (In My Opinion) with her brother Craig Robinson.

In this podcast, she revealed something that annoyed her about Barack: he runs late for everything.
“Barack, you know, he had to adjust to what ‘on time’ was for me,” she said.
“I was like, ‘Dude, a 3 o’clock departure means you’ve done all that,’ you know, it’s like, ‘Don’t start looking for your glasses at the 3 o’clock departure.”

She explained she was raised to be early for things.
“In the Robinson house, on time is late, early is on time. Barack, he had to adjust to what ‘on time’ was,” she said.
She joked that her Hawaiian-born husband “was on that island time”.

Michelle said despite his improvement over the decades, they have been together, she has also learned to give him a bit of wiggle room.
“You must adjust,” she said.
Although, their daughters have followed in their mother’s footsteps.

“Malia and Sasha, if they’re doing anything with me, they are early – they’ve learned how to snap to it,” she said.
Despite their difference Michelle and Barack Obama remained dedicated to each other and their marriage.
Michelle shared a sweet post for Valentine’s Day.
She shared a photo of the pair looking happy and relaxed. The caption read: “If there’s one person I can always count on, it’s you, @BarackObama. You’re my rock.
“Always have been. Always will be. Happy Valentine’s Day, honey!”
Barack shared the same photo along with the caption: “Thirty-two years together and you still take my breath away. Happy Valentine’s Day, @MichelleObama!”
He has also shared posts promoting his wife’s new podcast.
