Mike Tindall mentions Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Prince Harry despite being warned not to

Mike Tindall has scrubbed the names of two of the most controversial members of the British royal family, despite warnings not to do so.

The 47-year-old, who is married to Zara Tindalthe daughter of Princess Anne, spoke for his podcast at the Hay Literary Festival in Wales The good, the bad and the rugby

He was chatting with his co-hosts James Haskell and Alex Payne.

Payne joked that Tindall has his own ‘bedroom in Buckingham Palace’ and quipped ‘but the opposite of Andrew’:

He then noted that the comment was controversial as he was told backstage that he “maybe should stay away from Andrew tonight,” as reported by Royal Central.

However, Mike couldn’t resist taking a more subtle dig as he laughed with his friends about the corrective rhinoplasty he had in 2018.

“Taxpayers’ money solved it. If you look into it, there’s a royal warrant in it,” he joked, referring to Andrew allegedly using taxpayers’ money to fund his lifestyle.

The jokes came hours before Thames Valley Police filed a report The investigation into the former prince is being expanded including sex crimes, after a woman was allegedly brought to his Windsor home for “sexual purposes”.

Andrew wasn’t the only royal target during the filming, although Mike’s jokes to his wife’s cousin, Prince Harry, were lighter.

When his marriage to wife Zara was discussed in 2011, Mike said he was surprised Haskell hadn’t made more of a fool of himself that night.

‘Many other people have done it better than you – [like] Harry, when he was still nice,” Mike said Hello! Magazine.

The Tindalls used to have a close relationship with the Duke of Sussex, especially before his marriage to Meghan, Duchess of Sussex in 2018 and subsequent divorce from the royal family.

Harry is also the godfather of their daughter Lena, who is now seven.
