Monaco’s royal twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, are growing up quickly and already learning the ropes from their parents.
The 10-year-olds joined Prince Albert and Princess Charlene in Brittany, France for a visit and took part in official engagements as well as a walkabout with well-wishers.
The family were in the Cotes-d’Armor on Wednesday (Thursday AEST) at the invitation of local officials, with the region sharing “historical family links” with Prince Albert.

In Matignon the family walked through a traditional market before Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella did the honours of unveiling a plaque – with a little help from their dad.
The plaque commemorated their visit as a family of four.
Prince Albert, 67, had visited the town in Brittany in 2012 but this was his first visit with his family, 13 years later.

There was an official ceremony inside Rainier III Omnisports Hall, which was co-financed by Albert’s dad, Prince Rainier III – the royals’ mum is Grace Kelly – at the time it was built.
The family then took a private tour of the Château de Fort La Latte before the 10-year-olds did the honours again in unveiling another plaque.
There was a third unveiling of the day when Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella pulled the sheet off a sign, marking the Plévenon site as part of the Federation of Historic Sites of Grimaldi Of Monaco.

While Princess Charlene was seen with her hand guiding the couple’s daughter, who was dressed like her famous mother, as she accepted a posy of flowers during the walkabout.

The prince and princess shook hands and chatted to strangers with a little encouragement from their parents but it wasn’t the shy young royals’ first rodeo.
They’ve joined their parents on official engagements before, travelling with their father to Ireland on a royal tour in 2021.

Prince Albert also visited Normandy for further engagements.
The prince was also spotted earlier in the week courtside at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, where he watched the tennis from the royal box.
