Nick Kyrgios, girlfriend Costeen Hatzi: A single Instagram comment silenced rumours they had split

Nick Kyrgios has silenced rumours he and long-term girlfriend Costeen Hatzi had split with a single Instagram comment.

Yesterday Hatzi, 24, posted two snaps to Instagram showing her applying lipstick in the reflection of a stunning gilded mirror.

She captioned it with just two words – “touch ups” – but it was Kyrgios’ response that sent fans into a spin.

Hitting the comments section, the former world No. 13 tennis player left a single emoji that seemed to shut down any split rumours: the heart-eyes emoji.

Fans responded to his comment with elation, writing “we’re so back” and “keep doing you, you lovely couple”.

Reports Kyrgios and Hatzi had parted ways emerged over the weekend, with several outlets claiming the tennis pro and influencer had parted ways after more than three years together.

Both removed the other’s initials from their Instagram bios and Hatzi was pictured returning from the US to Australia solo, though Kyrgios has since also jetted Down Under.

Some also pointed to social media posts from Hatzi and claimed her videos and captions hinted at a split, though Hatzi denied it.

Kyrgios also seemed to make a subtle comment denying the rumours when he posted a photo of a luxury car to his Instagram Story with the caption: “Fact of the day…don’t believe everything you read. Stay in your lane.”

He and Hatzi have been dating for more than three years, after meeting when Kyrgios bought a mirror from the influencer online.

“I posted a mirror selfie where you could see the mirror and half of my face … and [Kyrgios] found it on Instagram somehow,” she previously told 9honey.

“I wasn’t following him or anything. Then he DMd me saying, ‘Hey, can I buy the mirror?'”

They started dating soon after and she’s followed him all over the world to support his tennis career, from Wimbledon to the Australian Open.

While Kyrgios is a household name for his skills on the court, Hatzi has built herself into a prolific Australian influencer and also runs a dress hire business.

Kyrgios has always been supportive of his girlfriend’s ambitions.

“I think it’s important to him that his partner has her own goals and ambitions, and is independent and wants to succeed in life,” Hatzi said.

“I think that’s also attractive for a woman to have her own work and ambition.”
