The physical therapist and content creator, who shares pregnancy and post-partum workouts on her platform, revealed her daughter Lilian ‘Lily’ Louise Kieffer died last week.

“We are shattered. Wednesday we woke up to a nightmare that we never could have ever imagined becoming our reality. Our Lily passed away,” Kieffer wrote in an Instagram statement.

“Our hearts, our bodies, our souls ache for her as she was the purist of beings and brought light to every single space she filled.

“Our days are written before we were even formed, and in Lily’s 374 days of life, she taught us more than I think many could in their lifetime.”

Kieffer says there is a lot she and her husband don’t know about their daughter’s untimely death.

However she shared that they “have come to learn that Lily had a large mass on her brain,” and it was something they “could have never known about as she never showed signs”.

The couple won’t have any more answers “until further testing is done”.

In the meantime, the family is mourning their unimaginable loss.

”Our family and friends are holding us when we don’t feel its possible to move,” Kieffer wrote.

“But we want you to know that we feel your prayers and your support. We feel God’s presence around our family and friends. And we ask that you please continue to pray hard for our family as we navigate this extremely tough time.”

Kieffer shared that she finds comfort in the belief Lily is “being held so tight by Jesus and loved ones in heaven”.

“[She’s] probably playing in her ball pit or riding in her little red car up there. We feel her.”

Kieffer ended her statement by writing: “Lilybug, you are our angel. And we know you’ll always be with us”.

“Daddy, Mommy, Mia & new baby love you so damn much and we miss you every single second.”

Lily was born just over 12 months ago on April 13, 2024, and is Kieffer’s second child.

The influencer has an older daughter, Mia, and recently announced she is expecting a third child.

The family reflected on Lily’s “short but beautiful life” in an obituary for her.

“Lily brought a spark of pure joy to every heart she touched. Her name, meaning pure and beautiful, perfectly captured the essence of who she was,” they wrote.

“Lily had an admiring and adoring eye for her big sister, Mia Kieffer, whose every move brought her awe and delight. She wrapped herself around her mother’s heart with a bond too deep for words and was a true Daddy’s girl, finding endless comfort and joy in her father’s arms.

“Her days were full of laughter and play—her favorite moments spent climbing into the ball pit, climbing up the stairs eager for the chase looking back with a giggle, or riding around in her little red car with Mia, the two of them side by side in simple, perfect happiness.”

Lily is survived by her parents Matt and Lizzie, her sister Mia and her four grandparents.
