Swedish royals Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia have announced the date of their baby daughter’s christening – and it holds very special significance.
The Swedish royal palace has confirmed the baptism ceremony of Princess Ines will take place on June 13, which also happens to be her parents’ 10th wedding anniversary.
The ceremony will be held at Drottningholm Palace Chapel in Stockholm, which is the same place her parents tied the knot a decade earlier.

Princess Ines will wear the same Swedish royal christening gown that has been in use since the baptism of Prince Gustaf Adolf, Duke of Västerbotten in 1906.
It is the same gown worn by her three older brothers, Prince Alexander, nine, Prince Gabriel, seven, and Prince Julian, four.
The couple welcomed their fourth child and first daughter on February 7 this year and announced her name a month later.
Princess Ines, whose full name is Ines Marie Lilian Silvia, is addressed as princess but will not be known as Her Royal Highness due to changes made by her grandfather King Carl XVI Gustaf in 2019.

Ines will also be known by the title Duchess of Västerbotten.
Her father, Prince Carl Philip, is the second child and only son of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden, however, he is not the heir to the Swedish throne under changes made in 1980 to remove the system of male primogeniture, under which a younger son can displace an elder daughter in the line of succession, with absolute primogeniture.
This means his older sister, Crown Princess Victoria, is the heir apparent, even though the new laws came into effect after both she and her younger brother were born.

Prince Carl Philip is currently fourth in line to the throne behind his sister and her two children, Princess Estelle, who is 13, and Prince Oscar, nine.

Prince Carl Philip was first linked to Sofia Hellqvist, a model, in 2010. Their engagement was announced in 2014 and they wed the following year.
During an interview, he criticised the media for suggestions she had not been welcomed by the royal family and compared her past ‘bullying’ in the press to the bullying he suffered over his dyslexia, a condition also suffered by his father.
The couple established the Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia’s Foundation in 2015 to fight bullying.
