Prince Harry news: The Duke reportedly cut off ties with Princess Eugenie over Piers Morgan photos

Prince Harry has reportedly severed ties with one of his closest remaining allies in the British royal family.

It was first reported a few days ago the Duke of Sussex had distanced himself from his cousin Princess Eugenie, who he was very close to.

Now broadcaster Piers Morgan is claiming to be the reason behind the breakdown of the royal relationship.

While speaking with US Daily Mail columnist Maureen Callahan on his show Piers Morgan Uncensored, he claims Prince Harry “went ballistic” after seeing photos of his cousin at a pub with Morgan.

“He has zero relationship with his friends and his family. [I] just read that he cut off his relationship with Eugenie,” Callahan said, while on the show to talk about the accusations made against the royal by Sentebale chairwoman Dr Sophie Chandauka.

“Well, that was because of me actually – the Eugenie thing – because she was with me and a group of other people in a pub in London,” Morgan said.

“I was seen hugging them goodbye, and Harry saw this and went completely ballistic. And I can confirm – breaking news – that this is entirely true.”

Princess Eugenie was with her sister Princess Beatrice at The Princess Royal pub in Notting Hill, where they enjoyed lunch with Morgan and musician James Blunt in April 2023.

Photographs showed the royal sisters hugging Morgan as they all went their separate ways.

The photographs were published just weeks before King Charles’ Coronation in May, which Prince Harry attended, sitting alongside his cousin and her husband, Jack Brooksbank.

Photos even show the trio sharing a laugh inside Westminster Abbey, despite Morgan’s claims of a rift growing between the cousins at the time.

Prince Harry, 40, and Princess Eugenie, 35, have reportedly always shared a close bond, spending plenty of time together in their younger years.

Also they are the sister and brother each never had with Prince Harry’s only sibling being Prince William and Princess Eugenie’s only sibling being Princess Beatrice.

Princess Eugenie was the first – and so far only – member of the British royal family to visit Prince Harry and his family in their new home in the US.

The pair even attended a Super Bowl game together in 2022.

Eugenie and her husband were also the first members of Harry’s family to meet Meghan Markle back in 2016, the woman who would go on to become his wife and mother of his two kids.

Video and photos of their time together in Toronto, Canada were shown in the Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as Harry and Meghan are now known by, are yet to issue a statement or respond to Morgan’s comments.

The tension between Prince Harry and Morgan relates back to when the now broadcast journalist was editor of the Daily Mirror, part of Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN), which the royal successfully sued for invasion of privacy in December 2023.
