Prince William’s cousin and Kate’s favoured designer Daisy Knatchbull announces engagement
The third cousin of Princes William and Harry and a favorite design of the Princess of Wales has announced her engagement to Italian music director Gionzy Damiani.
Daisy Knatchbull33, a fashion designer and founder of her own label Knatchbull, took to Instagram to announce the news of a romantic getaway in the Bahamas.
“Hooking up,” she wrote alongside a ring emoji. “(And making something out of turtle rings in a gift shop).”

Among those offering their congratulations was celebrity chef Nigella Lawson, who wrote: “He’s the happiest man in the world! And you didn’t do too bad either! I feel like the vibes are aligned.”
Her cousin, actress Kelly Knatchbull, also congratulated the couple, writing: “Welcome to the family.”
Princess Beatrice’s husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi also congratulated the happy couple, writing: “Yipeeeeee. Congratulations.”
Daisy is the daughter of Atalanta and Philip Knatchbull, and the granddaughter of Patricia, 2nd Countess Mountbatten of Burma, and John, 7th Baron Brabourne.

Philip Katchbull’s maternal grandfather was Louis Mountbatten, 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma, the beloved uncle of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and a father figure to King Charles prior to his assassination by the IRA in 1979.
The bombing also claimed the life of Philip’s younger brother, Nicholas.
It paved the way for Daisy’s uncle Norton to become 3rd Earl Mountbatten of Burma until his death in 2017.
The Katchbulls have remained close to the royal family and have played a prominent role in many royal events over the years.
When Norton Katchbull’s daughter Alexandra got married in 2016, that was the case King Charles who walked her down the aisle.

Daisy is the third cousin of Princes William and Harry.
The Princess of Wales has been known to wear Daisy’s designs.
Knatchbull first launched her business in 2019. Her business was the first tailoring service for women in the famous Savile Row. It was called The Deck before being renamed in 2024.
The Princess of Wales has been photographed in her designs, including at a Future Workforce Summit even in London last November, when she wore the label’s ivory ‘Cascade’ blouse.
Daisy’s sister Phoebe Knatchbull wore an ivory suit dress with black detailing when she married British banker Leopold Glover at a small service at the Chelsea Register Office in Kensington last year.
She had previously told a reporter that she planned to wear one of her sister’s designs.
“Any bride dressed in Knatchbull will look fantastic,” she said at the time
Daisy wore a pink suit with white trim for her sister’s big day.
