Princess Charlotte is officially in double digits!
The Prince and Princess of Wales‘ daughter is celebrating her 10th birthday today, with the couple sharing a portrait via their Instagram account to celebrate the milestone.
The outdoorsy photo, captured by Catherine, shows the princess wearing a windbreaker and a backpack, sitting and beaming at the camera against a hilly backdrop.
Already, the royal couple’s followers are unanimously making the same observation: Charlotte is a mini William.

“Wow spit of her Dad,” one writes, another declaring her, “Daddy’s double.”
“My goodness she so looks like her dad and the late Diana,” one comment reads.
Between her eyes and her big grin, it’s hard to deny the resemblance .
The photo of Princess Charlotte comes days after her little brother Prince Louis turned seven on April 23.

Hours after the photo was shared on Prince William and Kate’s social media accounts, the couple shared a sweet behind-the-scenes video from the photo shoot.

“I can jump down from here,” Louis was heard telling the photographer during the 20-second video montage, shot by the Kensington Palace social media team.
Princess Charlotte was born on May 2, 2015, at St Mary’s Hospital in London.
Incredibly, the little royal, whose full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, made history the moment she was born – and it’s all to do with her distance to the throne.

The order of the line of succession was originally determined by the Bill of Rights of 1681 and the Act of Settlement of 1701.

The most recent change to the stipulations laid out in these statutes came with the Succession to the Crown Act (2013)
It stated female royals born after October 2011 would no longer be displaced in the line by their younger brothers.

Charlotte was the first to benefit from this amendment, holding her place as fourth in line when Prince Louis was born in 2018.
She now sits in the third spot after dad Prince William and big brother Prince George.
